Sunday, September 25, 2005, 2:26 AM EDT A New Political Spectrum The liberal-conservative spectrum we are accustomed to is a gross simplification and distortion. Labeling someone as "liberal" or "conservative" often obscures the true political views of someone. This is true of any one-dimensional measure of political opinion, of course. But it seems that there could be an alternative to the liberal-conservative political spectrum: one that more accurately reflects what people consider important. Sunday, September 25, 2005, 2:25 AM EDT My General Political Views I'm not really too political these days. I have my opinions, but mostly I don't care much for political bickering, and I really hate when good discussions degenerate into political pissing orgies. I'm a Republican. I did go through a dittohead phase, but now I'm merely conservative about social issues, moderate on economic issues, and not too radical about anything. Read more
